Read This! Sidechaining in Reason 4 vs Ableton Live

I've always practiced producing in Reason, and was quite happy with it's ease and all. Now I'm learning Ableton and I've noticed one huge thing; sidechaining in Ableton is way better.

When I connect the compressor of an instrument to be controlled by the kick drum in Reason, I find that it does do its job until I solo the instrument, and then it's back to normal. With Ableton even if I solo the sidechained instrument it still ducks and it sounds really good. I don't know if I was doing it wrong all along in Reason but it seems to me that with Ableton sidechaining is really more advanced and useful.
