buy vinyl. no id3tag there |
As much as I respect you as a human being, I clearly stated that buying records in this part of the world (not too far away from you, where exports are not as nearly as rare as here) buying records is not too easy. Especially considering the place I live in now, there is no possibility to walk in a store and buy a record that I could listen to and enjoy it.
And don't get me wrong, I've got a good ol' pile o' cd's (I think even mentioning cd's will make me stand out in this crowd like a dick) but buying them today must concentrate on bigger labels that have the money to even press cd's or vinyl. That's my main point when considering buying downloadable songs from Beatport. Fucl.kf.
And yeah, I discovered the magical world of the Beatport Downloader. It didn't help much as it seems like it has been designed by a 15 year old Flash advertisement engineer. It did one trick though of which I was happy about.
Another thing is; my friend bought tracks from Beatport and downloaded them twice. And couldn't download them anymore. I don't know what caused this, but if it's a fact they're only downloadable for you for a limited period of time, it's not convenient. And convenient is a keyword when buying and downloading mp3's from the internet instead of going to the store to buy cd or vinyl.
I honestly thought this forum would've been the place for people who have at least some kind of antipathy against music turning to only mp3. It is the future and all, but.. I prefer it physical.
It may sound odd a 21 year old craving back cd's, but even the latest community I was a part of before this one, we had threads to show off our collections. Posting a picture of a folder in Vista ain't that sweet.
