well is it a legit version of fruitys or a cracked one the only other thing it might be is your mixing may be out have you slapped a compressor on everything?

I can think of alot of things it could be. If grossbeat is on the master, where I assume most people would put it, then it would effect everything. It kind of sounds like the first kick note is being sidechained when the 'climax' comes in then the rest aren't.

Sometimes the volume on individual notes can be accidentally turned down in FL Studio, especially when things are getting copy and pasted left and right. If this is the case, just creating a whole new kick pattern would solve that.

I haven't used grossbeat on the master, although now you mention that it is where you would expect to see it i wondered why? I have used grossbeat on different channels and even more than once on the same channel as i want different waves, i take it then that i could just automate the one grossbeat to vary depending on where it is in the track?

Following from that (might aswell bring up more questions while im here lol) i seem to have trouble with grossbeat running through its cycle then pausing then continuing, instead of starting from the start of the wave each time it is turned on, I cant seem to fix that if it is possible.

The kick isn't sidechained, the bass is linked to a peak controller on the kick channel though but that's the wrong way around to be a cause right? Its the bass that reduces with the kicks. I'm not sure how i would have sidechained one single note in a sequence, since i dont know how to do that i will say that it's not that lol.

Will just go check if that one note is turned down as that is something i may have done now that i think about it, i recall laying down some notes and noticed that they were all quiet because the previous notes i used were turned down.

Wooo, wasnt the volume of the first kick, however i did find the problem lol, was pure stupidity but not sure why this happens, second time ive seen it. I had put an automation clip to mute the kick channel within the same pattern as the bass, then after i made a new channel for kick&bass and left the bass pattern alone, i still left the automation clip on.

Basically it was turning on right as the beat came in, i just moved it to turn on one step before it kicked in and it solved it (then i just deleted the automation all together as it was redundant anyway).

There are different uses for grossbeat. On the one hand, some people might use it to 'gate' a specific part, like a saw or something and therefore would use it on that specific channel.

Then there is the use of making the whole song glitch or gate for a split second b4 a climax or something, especially in uplifting trance. I would use it on the master channel because you want to make all the parts glitch/gate/scratch (whatever effect it is set to do), otherwise it doesn't sound as cool. A couple of years ago it was all the rage, I don't hear it often right now though (but I might just not be listening to tracks that do it).

Man the clap is really bit reduced/gritty (FL Studio has a plugin called 'Fruity Squeeze' for that), I have noticed that a lot in Armada tracks.

I don't listen to much Armada, however, listening to this I will say one thing, with so much change in Trance (most going to House) over the past few years Armada seems to have kept their traditional sound.
