Need help identifying a synth in my own song

Kind of an odd request, I know.

I really want to remake this song, but I can't remember where I found the synth that plays at 1:43. I usually work off of presets so maybe someone will recognize it, I'm almost positive it's from Zebra, but I've looked and I can't find it anywhere. The song was written on my old computer, so unfortunately I have no way of looking through the original file.

Either way I'm sure it can't be too difficult to recreate, but I've never been good at making sounds from scratch. It sounds like resonance is what gives the sound most of its character, but beyond that I have no idea.

If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it.

Damned decent track this. WHy do you want to re - make it? I think you'd struggle to bottle that vibe again, I know I would.

Lead reminds me of sylenth tbh and is way nice.

i think it's sylenth i'd check your soundbanks. I only use sylenth and this looks like what i'd put out of it.

Thanks, that's kinda why I want to remake it. The mixing is pretty awful compared to what I can do now, and I really don't like the last half of the track, I have a different melody planned that fits a lot better with the rest of the song.

lol yeah, like I said, it's an odd request. I wrote the song over 2 years ago, kinda hard to remember individual synths from that long ago.

I'll try reinstalling sylenth, I completely forgot to do that with my new computer. I love that synth, even if I can't find the preset I'm glad you guys reminded me of it.

yeah, I used to download anything I could get my hands on. it was kind of hard to justify spending hundreds of dollars on a hobby like this while I was in high school. since then I've purchased most of my favorites, including sylenth. I bought a copy last night after hearing it mentioned here, but it was sent to the wrong e-mail address, so I'm waiting to hear back from support.

but I guess that's all kind of irrelevant, since I'm here because I need help, not because I want to talk about piracy or the number of synths you own.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark, and rely purely on my first instinct, which tells me this is v-station.

With that said, I happen to like all your other sounds better. That one lead is too flat, and seems to take away more than it adds.

Here is 1 more thing, the mind is a bitch. Sometimes it just wants what it can't have. I had this same exact problem like a year ago. Couldn't figure out what synth I used for a sound. One day I was sitting down and randomly realized it was z3ta. I wound up remaking the sound, was fumbling around for a good hour, got the sound, then the second I looped it back, I realized I hated it.

Like I said, the mind is a bitch. And it will play games with you any chance it gets.

i am going to start a new mindset... why fuck don't you use a different or even better sound and stop struggling? or try to reproduce it with a random synth at least you will learn something out of it.

this is where irony hits you in the face hard, remember some piracy discussions we had about the time you made this track? Now collecting everything hits you like a mothafucka

But then again, i agree with Rodri, all vsti's sounding near equal, it should not be hard finding a similar patch
