Transitions in fruity loops
Ive been messing around with FLStudio 4 lately and I can make some decent beats and melodies, the only problem i have is i can't make transitions from one part of a song to the next at all, i really suck at it. Does anyone have any tips or a link to a tutorial that covers this maybe? thx

Transitions like breakdowns? well the way i learnt and stull learning all the time is to listen to your favorite tracks and see how its done giving you inspiration to try some of your own and mess about until it sounds right in your song.

assuming you are talking about breakdowns, the easiest way is just to slowly remove elements of your song such as the bass or hi-hat or main synth or whatever...
the reason that breakdowns sound good is because the removal of one of the elements leads to anticipation by the listener, where they can't wait for the beat or bass or whatever to kick back in so they can go crazy and start dancing...
if you are talking about like a transition section or like an intermediate phase of the song, then try adding another synth line and/or break beat and/or another set of chords to follow...
i'm not sure what you are really asking but this isn't really a fruity-related question but more of a general music production question

yeah, play with reversed crashes and a big delayed bass kick
