As The Rush Comes AVB Supersaw JP-8000 / 8080 Tutorial

I ask alot of questions on the forums so I decided to post my first tutorial to help everyone else out. It's somewhat on the spot and im not saying its perfect but anyone with a Jp 8000 or 8080 should try it and won't be dissapointed.

First of all initialize the patch by hitting Edit, 7, Then Write. That's the directions for the 8080, I don't know about the 8000 even though I have one lol.

Effects

Bass = Half way
Treble = Full
Multi-FX Level = Full
Time = Full
Feedback = 0 Leave it at the least position
Level = Full

LFO 1
Choose the Triangle Waveform, It's the first one.

OSC 1
Choose the Supersaw Waveform

Control 1 = 2 ticks away from the center.
Control 2 = Full

OSC 2 = Saw Waveform

Cutoff Freq = 8 ticks up.

Resonance = 1 tick up

Filter = LPF

AMP LEVEL = FULL

FILTER ENVELOPE
Depth = Half Way up (Or 5 ticks)
A = 1 tick up
D = 5 ticks up
S = Full
R = 0

AMP ENVELOPE
A = 1 tick up
D = 5 ticks up
S = Full
R = 5 ticks up

Key Mode = Single

Turn Velocity off.

With some chords and a bit of FX and eqing, this should sound just about right. Also play with the CUTOFF FREQ and gradually increase it while your playing. It gives it a better effect. Record the song then play it while your messing around with the cutoff frequency and gradually move it upwards.

Special thanks to RB2k1 for first helping me out when I got this synth.

Can someone upload what they have made using this tutorial I have a pretty crappy sound card and it sounds like shite when I record.

Other than that get to know what each knob does rather than follow the tutorial. I used to ask the pros what synths and settings to use but the only way to learn and be a good producer is to KNOW WHAT EACH AND EVERY KNOB DOES ON YOUR SYNTH (HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE) !

GOD BLESS

Heya, I just got me an JP-8000, is that tute pretty easy to follow once you get in it? Im still trying to learn this keyboard, and keyboards in general, so alot of the terms are sorta greek Got keyboard used, so no manual. just hitting presets, and see what this baby can do. New to this forum, but noticing with all the SuperSaw samples everyone is making, that this type of WaveForm, what 7-8 Detuned Saws, make this supersaw. that this is the sound that I crave for in Trance music. the Lush Pad, with the heavenly sounds when it's arped, etc. So far is this correct, that this is the standard sound to branch off to those other sounds.

Sorry for being, a Newbie, but we have to start somewhere, and from what I seen on this forum, u guys are awsome/helpfull to the 100%..

Note: This reply has nothing to do with the tutorial. This is a pad sound i made on the jp-8080 to show how awesome the pads can be on it.

The jp is a Pad Machine: SAMPLE HERE - SAVE TARGET AS

Enough Said!

Is this sound achievable on the JP-8000 ?? or do I need those extra features of the 2 voices more, and other goodies of the 8080..

B/C that was awsome sounding.
