extend a cymbol without changing its pitch?

hi, i tryed using the search but i dont really no what it im asking. i got a reverse cymbol thats quite short, i want to make it longer without the pitch changing. so it sounds the same but longer, i was told to do it in the nn-xt but havent been able to do it. can this be done in reason? hope ive explained it well. and for future reference, what is this process called? thanks in advance.

The process is called time stretching. I don't think it is possible in reason. You will need a wave editor like sound forge, wavelab, cooledit, etc to do it, then save it as a .wav an import it back into reason.

remember not to stretch it too much or else it will turn into some mutated delay

Just put a long reverb on the original cymbal and reverse it.

Timestretching may mess up the attack part, as it basically just repeats parts of the sample.
