FL studio 4.5.2 Vsti's dissapearing?

In my recent version of FL studio, everytime I load any vsti, and when I click a dif channel. The vsti dissapears and reappears on the channel settings? Anyone know how to fix this?... is it a bug?

Here is a screenshot so you can get a better idea of what I mean.

That's just weird.

Many weird shit happened with me and FLstudio, I've never run into anything like this..

Though I never put my VSTis to the step sequencer, as I put them to FX channels and put Midi Out channels to step sequencer and just route the midi channels.

What's the advantage/disadvantage of doing this?

Advantage: Can easily change the synth for melody if you don't like the one you're using.
eg. makes it easier to experiment melodies on different synths as you just need one midi out channel and the synths in the FX channels all using the same midi port,
just disable the synths you don't want to hear.
No need to copy&paste the melody from the piano roll etc.

Disadvantages: you loose one FX for the sound, and you need to do "double work", as first putting the synth to FX channel and then putting Midi Out channel to step sequencer.

I find it much easier working this way instead of putting the synths to step sequencer.
