External Soundcards

I searched through the forums and i cant realy find anything thats helpfull enough for me to decide what i want.
I need something that has two stereo outputs, one input and midi in.
It has to be external it can be firewire or usb. Or it can be something to do with the laptop slot.

Im going to be using it for alot of djing and producing.

I was going to get an m-audio firewire audiphile but after searching through the forums i found out that its quiet crappy.
Iv been looking around on google and such but i need help to find something in that price range and something that is hopefully TA tried and tested.

the best "cheap" external card, IMO, is the Presonus Firebox. good quality, low price, and really good preamps (if you ever need them). plus it's about half the size of your standard external card.

The Presonus Firebox looks quite good, i just have one question about it. The midi i/o- does that just work with a cable that plugs in and then goes into your two standard i/o midi cable or does it need some kind of aditional hardware.
Im new to external midi hardware
