Are you having trouble with what you're using now? Then I'd say no.
Have you tried Logic and do you like it better? Then yes.

dno exactly bout the mac range but an ibook aint no powerpc. And, as you can see yourself, the G4 and 512 ram are the minimum system specs. I wouldn't recommend anyone 512 ram for music production, unless you use it only for midi.
Sure cubase 4 will run on a pentium III, but will it run smooth?
