Software has covered digital effects pretty well I think, but hardware still has some benefits (hands on, no cpu usage etc.).
Analogue is a different story however, but I don't have enough experience to say if it is just wank factor or not.

I use a Midiverb4 and Outboard compression if that helps, and yes i much prefer it over software

I have the Liquid Mix and I really like it. The hybrid EQ is awesome and it sounds amazing.

Thanks all, I do like the look of the Liquid Mix but with just EQ and compressors I'm not too sure of the use I could get out of it compared to the Powercores range of effects.
I have a listen to some sound clips on a site and the compressors have more on an enhancer / exciter feel to them tehy do sound awesome.
