still own the SONY MDR V700 but i'm planning to buy a new pair of headphones.it looks like the price is much more higher than SONY so i'm thinking if the price is worth it.
If anyone owns a pair of Sennheiser HD600 Full-Sized Circumaural Headphone i would really appreciate any advice, thoughts ....

What's it for? The sound is most definitely an improvement on those Sonys (you can't even compare, really), but the HD600 is probably better for listening than it is for production. It's very accurate but it does still colour the sound, particularly the bass.

more interested in producing with them...since SONY has his own sound , my question was if it does worth all those money and keep 2 headphones ...?
would i be better investing in some proper audio monitors or 2 headphones with 2 different sound would do the job?

Headphones will never do the job of studio monitors, but good studio monitors are also in a totally different price range, and even studio monitors don't quite put out the bass you'd hear with a quality subwoofer. There's no limit to how much you can spend in pursuit of perfect sound.
There's no question that the HD600s are worth their price, but if you don't have ANY speakers or monitors of any kind, I'd probably get those first. And, as mentioned, the HD600s aren't truly production headphones, they're audiophile headphones and you'd be better off producing with some of the better models from AKG.

Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro, doesn't even feel like your wearing them, but the sound is top notch.

another thing to consider, while the sound beautiful..at 300 ohms...you can only get the tru effect with a separate amplifier so if u hope to plug straight into a sound card im afraid even with volumes at full u wont get all the bass out of these...
as for colouring...
try and get a hold of some hd580s insted...they arnt in production but always on ebay....
they will be substantialy cheeper while being an almost identical can...and they colour almost not at all...
580s can be picked up on ebay for about £100 couple that with perhaps 80 u wana spend on a cheep headphoene amp (project headbox mk2 is a nice place to start)

The HD5xx are not worth it for a producer. Yes they cost less than the 600+ models but they also cost a lot more than comparable models from AKG, Beyerdynamic, etc.
Again, for audiophiles, can't beat 'em - for producers, not the best.
