About sidechain..

hey, I'm using ableton and everytime I want to sidechain smth I need to make a new audio track and put the kick's output to the midi/audio track that has the sidechain compressor.
ok, what I wanna know is if is there any chance to make this using only 1 audio track/send(?) instead of making one new track everytime I wanna sidechain smth...

you could set up a buss/send that is always sidechained and then just send whatever audio you want to it.

the only problem this would entail is that same setting would have to be used for each instrument routed to that bus, and then the individual instrument level would have to be adjusted prior to receiving the compression which may affect how the compressor reacts....I think
