So somehow you want to do
MIDI IN Track 1 -> VST w/ arp -> MIDI IN Track 2
I'm not sure it will work, I'm not sure the output of your channel with the VST instrument in it will output arpegiated midi note data.

...okay. From what I was abled to gather from messing about in Ableton was that once a VSTi is inserted on a midi track it's output becomes audio. There's no way of assiging the MIDI data that is coming OUT of the virtual instrument to another track.
Maybe you can find another work around, but as far as I can tell... You might have to grow a pair and write your own arpeggios. |
