getting this bass sound out of my synth

I have been trying to get such bass sound for ages and even haven't got close to this. I'm using absynth.

I'm using native instruments absynth. So its software. But it shouldn't be a problem.

well.. i dunnow how 2 make it with absynth ghehe.. but i got pretty close with 3xosc in fruity

im learning how 2 use absynth right now

pretty classic sound....when I get home I'll search the basic waveforms it is....Roland calls it "solid bass" or "tonite bass" or something

i do it by using a sample i have.. from an bass.. and by adding an 3xosc 2 it.. so.. u just have 2 b a bit creative.. thats all

WEll..That 3xosc is quite new to me...So I don't know really how to use it So when I don't know the basics, it is hard to be creative...

I definately wouldn't call that a dirty bass sound... it sounds pretty smooth to me.

What song is that from? It sounds familiar.

its from Cosmicman - Crystal Dreams (spelling?)

anyway, this sound is being used in lot of trance songs...

So, any ideas what waveform and filters to use for such bass sound???

im guessin it'd be a square wave for oscillator 1 and either another square or a triangle for oscillator 2 (if used @ all) and either a -24db lo band pass or -12db lbp filter.....to answer your question. :P

gonna check what the roland manual says.....

PCM A048...let's see now....

hmm well the PCM is called "solid bass" goes no deeper into waveforms...need a clean sample of it?
