It opened fine for me...

It's obviously a minor progression, but I wouldn't say that it necessarily sounds dark - it's hard to tell because you're only providng the arp-ish sound in isolation. It needs to be heard in the context of a track to get the full effect.

Player didn't work (probably requires some plugin). Download worked fine though.

In my opinion, the melody sounded a bit off. It has some sadness to it. Though like said, we have no way of knowing what the full effect is with just that.
