Waldorf Blofeld

any owners of this guy? i'm blown away by some of the audio demos and for $500 i feel like its a no brainer to get one. I was originally under the impression it had VST integration but sadly no... USB controls though are still ok with me

Currently deciding between adding either a Waldorf Blofeld, Korg MS200, or good ole Nord Lead 2x.

Check out some of the threads in Electronic Music forum over at GS. Lots of discussion on the Blofield, including some who feel it sounds better and has more capabilities than the Virus TI (you can imagine how that discussion is turning out).

Good soundset coming from the guy behind Mystery Islands gives some idea what is can do trancewise.

It used to say in the text that there are two versions of the same riff one after each other, the first I think it Blofeld and the second Largo - not sure why its gone now.

i've got a nord lead and an older version of a Korg product so that's ok. I'm actually looking for something to compliment my Virus TI as all my other boards are more analog/retro sounding then sharp & digital/bright as the virus. Well thank goodness for guitar centers 30 day return policy, i think i'll go grab one this weekend and test it out

Let us know how you like it. I'm especially curious how it you like it in the context of your music.

I believe the Blofeld is a Micro Q and XT combined into one. One-up it and get an XT and Q.

How about sound wise, do they sound equal as well? Because I was thinking about getting a Microwave as well, but if the Blofeld does everything the Microwave does sound wise, then I guess the Blofeld jumps ahead.
