Spectrasonics Trilogy envelope automation in Ableton

So, my sweet bassline making lover Trilogy, does not want to record or automate any of the parameters in Ableton. This fucking sucks. So if I armchair it and hit record, anything I change on the Trilogy does not get recorded, and where as Nexus will let you "undo" changes inside the VST, Trilogy does not. Any thoughts? Thanks again guys,.

trilogy like the dinosaur it is (by the way i love it to death) only uses CC automation so keep this printed out next to you or bookmark it:

Thank you. Automation in Trilogy is the key to some of the PA stuff I have planned, as the Trilogy is so fat and that filter slider is very warm and... yeah, you get the point. The envelopes are super great too, can't wait to automate those!
