I found this Yamaha DX7 .syx file pack on the internet and want it to share it with every one hear on TA to keep this sound pack alive.
So many sounds, so little time!
I think the Yamaha dx7 was the synthesizer to get in the 80's along with the Minimoog and I think the Yamaha DX7 is a Swiss army knife for sounds.

This is a rather LARGE collection of Yamaha DX-7/TX-7 sounds
in .syx (System Exclusive) Format (32 sounds per bank)
that are now also usable in
FM Heaven VSTi !...BUT!... FM Heaven VSTi does NOT emulate THAT well...However...these sounds
should KILL in Native-Instruments FM7 when it's released in May 2001
The "Hollywood Collection" I collected in Hollywood, California
from different studios & musicians when I worked as a messenger for Music Express running for the record companies & movie lots in 1986.
The "Various Other Sources" was collected from musicians & music stores on the road over a span of years.
The "19424 DX-7 SOUNDS" I collected from searches on the internet.
**Notes**
There ARE some banks that are named the same as others (as well as some patches)...BUT...that does NOT necessarily mean the sounds are the same one's! (Tho you will find some here & there) It's gonna take you quite a while to go thru them All...IF you ever do.
I am sharing this collection in the hope that some will use them to a musical advantage to the world.
There are some GREAT sounds here!

The .syx files works in FM8, though FM8 is shipped with so many presets.
I remember reading that there are about 5000 sounds in this collection .... as the man says Enjoy!
