i have a few libraries, but the quality isn't that fantastic regarding the clarity and 'crispiness' in sound

I don't know of any specific libraries but definitely pick up Omnisphere if you don't have it. Some of their textures and psychoacoustic samples seem like they were made with film scores in mind.
