i got banned for less two days ago. its all about which subforum you hang out in. m4b, robby rox would all be banned in the cor lol. while this little corner of TA is almost without moderation, probably because things seems to fix itself around here. idiots leave, bigmouths stays, and the rest stalks us, like were an ant-farm. the thing is that theres alot of knowledge here, but it has been discussed trillion times already, so what we need is some updated index to help noobs find old threads and bump them. this goes back to the sticky discussion which also goes nowhere until diginut decides on participate

your poll lacks some alternatives, just like any american voting. and just like america, the option called "lets fix it" is lacking.

Like an American, I've given up on fixing the situation. We asked for a new mod, but everyone supported the idea of only having one mod. Who never seems to be here unfortunately. The only fix is more active moderation and better stickies, but that's not likely to happen IMO...

Palm, you need to stop drinking.

I still find this forum helpful, you just need to be prepared for a bit of banter on the side. I don't really care if threads get derailed as quite often the most knowledgeable members will still contribute with helpful posts. Granted, there is a lot of shit, but there's still a lot of good stuff out there.

Another mod might help getting the shit cleaned up quicker, but it seems that eventually most problems run their course/sort themselves out.

diginut is moderating btw, i saw him do a ninjaedit not long ago (fixing up a threadtitle i forgot to put in there). he moderate with moderation and acts when things get out of hand. consider him more of a watchmen. i do not want a moderator like stu/sushi over here, that would leave out all the fun and 90% of the threads would end up closed with someone banned (me amongs others lol). but i sure would like those stickies to be updated. but i do not want to make a new alt everytime im drunk.

Personally, I think posting personal information crosses the line. And its been happening a lot. Sending threatening PMs saying that you're going to spam someone also crosses the line. Its retarded and immature and a moderator should be stepping in IMO rather than letting the whole thing get to that point.

yeah i agree but those are special situations lol and not something usually happen here. ive been here 8 years and only seen it twice. both the last month or so. someone fucked with the wrong person obviously and things like that might happen then. it has nothing to do with this forum, it could happen anywhere. and those whose lifes got destroyd/exploited could just PM swamper, apparently it didnt hurt them very much. it got nothing to do with this subforum, it just shows that you shouldnt try to dick measure people with resources, they asked for it if you ask me, both robby and this new retard. robby has been pushing it for years actually, and this new fella was an ass from 1st second. normally robbys cool but sometimes he goes bananas - probably drug related. i bet all parts has gotten warnings on PMs. if not i find it weird, i get warnings all the time.

2 < 5 new topics max a day, of which at least 3 are recurring itches which for some and reason enough to shoot them down. the other 2 then are shameless noobness which are good for a laugh or 2 and then after the usual gang is bored with it, bleed to death as well....

Well the threads were never closed and the posts were never removed... So I'm guessing nothing was done in either case, also considering M4B did it twice, I'm assuming he didn't get warned the first time.

I'm not saying they didn't deserve it, but that sort of thing is a bit low IMO.
