Problem when mastering kick-HELP NEEDED!!!

I've been having a problem lately when mastering the sound of kicks. I use fl studio 9 and 10 with the plugins "maximus" and "paramatic EQ2" for my mastering. The problem I have been having, is that whenever i use these plugins to improve the sound of the kicks to how I want it, I then find that every time i have two quick kicks together, (two in 1/2 of a beat,) the volume of those two kicks drop down, (which doesn't happen when I don't change the sound,) making it hard to hear them. Any help would be great, thanks.

they are interfering and causing DC noise taking up headroom. btw its not called mastering when you are just compressing a kick its called compression. do more eqing or choose other samples which arent interfering.

edit: wait a fucking second, this is the djbooth... are you talking about mixing two tracks?

Render out a pattern with just one kick in it and use that instead of the original, it will sound the same but not duck under itself.

Or you could shorten the notes, it's from the compression. Shortening the notes would do it...

Are you using sampled kicks? If so, it's unlikely that they will benefit from added compression.

Please, PLEASE look up what "mastering" means in an audio production sense.

If we're all using the same words but meaning completely different things, then fluff bunny wows hypothetical integration.

How exactly do you improve the sound of your kicks with those plugins?

sounds like a compressor is not releasing fast enough when engaged thus the volume drops - im assuming "maximus" is a compressor
