why don't you just reach out to some vocalists that you like on other tracks? they are pretty easy to get ahold of and usually will hit you back.

Go to karaoke bars, find a singer, record her/him. Yes, seriously.

NOOB POST INCOMING

I've been always tempted to make a vocal track the problem is the aproach. When i listen to plain vocals nothing lits in my head, i can't make a good track out of it i guess, only simple arrangements picture in my mind... Generally when i check this "free" soundcloud vocalist i think their vocals are shit, far from professional even with the autotune i can see that they are clipping at points.

Another problem is that i don't really know how to make a vocal treatment, i think you have to put vocals in key with the track but i don't know which tools i should use to do it, i've tried with vocoder delay reverb and saturation and it sounds better but in the end i always prefer an instrumental, vocals doesn't interact in a good way with the melodies... maybe i should just use chords and vocals on top...

Well i'd be willing to collaborate with a vocalist when i know how and if she can sing vocals after my track is done i think this way could work.

yes the best approach is to send a full instrumental to a vocalist. they send you back a top line that works with the track. then you tweak (or sometimes re-work completely) the track into a final product. there is an art to writing top lines i hate to say it, but most vocalists who will work for free have not yet mastered it. even if they sing well, it doesn't mean they can write.
they need to be able to write a solid vocal melody, good lyrics, perform it in key, and record it so it doesn't sound like shit. as a producer i won't want to waste my time cleaning up bad vocal takes or fixing pitch problems, i'd rather just hire a professional to begin with.
