I was starting to get tired of my 80 dollar hosa converter to PMC's and was wondering if there is even a better solution connecting to my mac pro.
Basically, I would connect mac ethernet out to the Rednet and AES XLR from the Rednet to the PMC's or ethernet out from the Rednet to the PMC's in ethernet port.
Would this be a better solution for lower latency and better fidelity?
Curious, thanks in advance.
Juan.

Dude, seriously.
The hosa unit is completely transparent.
We told you this. A guy on gearslutz did a full null test and passes the data without any bit loss or signal degradation whatsoever. Then a bunch of other guys did the same and confirmed it.
It's the purest signal possible from your mac to your speaker cone, period.
The only decision you have to make is whether you don't want to use PMC's own built in DAC (but this would be insanely foolish, as the DAC is used anyway in the signal chain internally, regardless of how the signal gets there, so by using an external dac you're doing twice the conversion).
Did you get your room fully treated yet? If not, do that instead of a new soundcard. Yes, then spend that $1500 on getting some proper turntables

Yea I'm a spoiled bastard, I only halfway done with my room treatment. I guess its time to finish, already love the results. Anyhow my turntables are suiting me fine, thanks.
