ok so i been listened to that tune by Dark Monks called 'Insane' and anyway im really liking this style of music at teh moment.

so can anyone advise a newb to this genre on a good liveset/cd with this style of tracks on it? thakns

Airbase - Theme from the Rock .. not really hard trance per se, but still pretty big and uplifting

Also take a good listen to Flutlicht stuff, especially The Fall, Icarus, Ahmea, The Freak etc...

Older Dumonde stuff is pretty good too...

Some ppl might consider a couple of those names to be synonymous with NRG. Personally, I consider HT and NRG pretty close.

have a listen to some mixes by ta's love parade dj, dj dawn.
they'll fix ur thirst. the bpm on there aint for the faint hearted. about 20 tunes in 70 mins? check out some the reviews of his mixes in the dj amateur section. his mixes get 10 page thread reviews.
