Oh, life is bigger ,It's bigger than you,And you are not me,The lengths that I will go to, The distance in your eyes ,Oh no, I've said too much, I set it up
That's me in the corner, That's me in the spotlight, I'm Losing my religion, Trying to keep up with you ,And I don't know if I can do it, Oh no, I've said too much,I haven't said enough, I thought that I heard you laughing, I thought that I heard you sing, I think I thought I saw you try.
But that was just a dream, That was just a dream, But that was just a dream, Try, cry, why try? That was just a dream ,Just a dream, just a dream, Dream

Hear Now and Pretty Simple present Phil Kieran (United Kingdom)
[Novamute, Cocoon, Skint, Soma, Yoshitoshi, Flying Cabbage, Kingsize, PIAS]
SATURDAY APRIl 5th 2008 @ Ffour Nightclub
By the sounds of it Phil Kieran's mind must be a diverse universe with a love of good music at its core. With Electronica as his launching pad, the prolific producer and hard working DJ has travelled the spectrum of electronic music styles. Always rife with jagged energy and throbbing baselines, a Phil Kieran DJ set can confidently guide a dancefloor through a labyrinth of emotions using Techno, Electro and House as signposts with the odd detour via Joy division and Depeche Mode .
He landed a residency at, now infamous club, Shine, in Belfast at the tender age of 19 and over the nine years since has provided a backbone for the legendary club. Phil finally won acceptance to the DJ fraternity, International recognition and recruited a loyal following with the release of his anthem tune hou..hou..hou..house Nation (officially known as Vitalian House)
In 2005 Phil formed his band “Alloy Mental”, this project is symptomatic of an artist’s mind, born of a need to create something new. Joining ranks with edgy vocalist Corrigan, the pair embarked on a journey to redefine the boundaries of dance music forever. Eschewing the dreary repetitiveness common in most dance music, Phil took Corrigan's menacing, yet mesmerizing vocals; spliced it with his own brand of darkly atmospheric bleep, added a healthy dose of heavy guitar riffs, and out came the workings of a debut album. The first release "Alloy Mental Body Blue Print" caused huge chaos in clubland, its completely new sound always causing confusion and curiosity amongst clubbers. Most comments from the dancefloor have been "what was that punk tune you played earlier?" or "What was that mental tune 'fire, fire' it sounded really different and original ". Whatever the reaction, it has always been exciting and encouraging.
Kieran could hardly fight the floods of artists requesting his Midas touch remixing style. Notorious amongst these re-workings are Agoria "L'onzieme Marche", Nitzer Ebb "Murderous" and more recently remixes for Sons of Slough, VHS and T. Raumschmiere “Blitzkrieg Pop”. Last year Phil shook the techno foundations when he brought us the tearing hits “Skyhook” on Novamute and hooked up with Cocoon to release “I’m a monster”. Both these enormous bombs have destroyed dance floors worldwide and are already acclaimed as anthems that never leave the crates of DJs from all genres.
It has been quite a trip for Mr Kieran. From music obsessed teenager, djing with Indie records, stolen from his elder brother, to the internationally celebrated artist of today. Nowadays Phil plays a relentless schedule of dates, headlining throughout Asia, South America, Europe, and soon to be our beloved Australia. Which ever way his new adventures takes him, expect a ton more new and exciting music from one of the most formidable techno forces to have come out of the UK if not the world over. The future for Phil Kieran looks er, em… fucking MENTAL!
This will be Phil Kieran’s first and exclusive Melbourne appearance
