Hot Rod

Anyone else seen this 2007 masterpeice of hollywood comedy?
the basic plot is that Rod is a nerdy stuntman. Rods stepfather (whom he fights regularly for male supremcey) is sick and dying. Rod has to organise 1 big jump to make the money for his step dads heart surgery.

holy shit this movie is good - it rips a hell of a lot off napolean dynamite and then a hell of a lot off adam sandlers good shit (any1 seen grandmas boy? - the movie about the stoner computer game programmer...)

great moments include Rods best mate taking acid and deciding to get onto the angle grinder - with hilarious results.....
Rod and his step brother doing 'cool beans' so that it sounds like justin timbrelakes 'pop'= with hilarious results...
Rod's 'stunts' (he has about 10 in the movie)constantly result in massive stacks that look totally painful yet somehow hilarious..
...and my personal favourite - rod walking down the street on the day of the big jump and john fanhams 'the voice' kicks in - causing a riot.

this movie is american comedy at it finest - it reminds me of those 80's video classics with dan akroyd, chevy chase and bill murray - but its new, its unheard of and its fukin funny. And then its like a Will Farrell comedy before his schtick got old!

it stars isla fisher, gob off arrested development and the main dude who ive never seen before.

HIRE IT NOW...or if youve got foxtel its on boxoffice.


did i mention that the soundtrack rivals gta3 vice city?

TOTALLY F*&^%ING AWESOME

Possibly the funniest movie i saw in 2007. There are so many hilarity scene's in there that i don't even know what to quote.
