Does TA need any more mods? If so I'd be glad to step up.
I have a good bit of experience moderating on other boards, primarily debate-centered ones.
I also don't know if this is the proper forum to post something like this, but it seemed like the best one.

Meh, I say let them pick and choose. Swamper probably already knows someone who is a good enough replacement for Coup. Or someone who would be a good mod in general.

Well i think that might be the problem. Possibly the reason there hasnt been more mods is that Swamper might not have found someone that he feels is worthy of the task.

Well Coup just quit. I'd give Swamper a week or two for him to find a sufficient replacement. I doubt he'll be heeding much from people applying to be a mod. I don't think there's been a mod selected when one "applied". From what I gather, someone is pmed from a mod asking that person if they would like to be a mod.
Though an election could prove interesting from a drama standpoint. Imagine c0r whore-offs only about three times as bad

Coup hasn't been modding actively on TA for months, he took a break for a while - yesterday just confirmed the break would continue.

Oh I'm well aware he's been absent for a few months, in fact I was one of the people that noted it. I meant his official resignation was just yesterday. Have you been actively pursuing a replacement during Coup's entire absence, or have you just begun searching?

I think he is saying we have been fine without coup for the last few months, so we dont need a new coup.

This board has too few moderators with a new coup much less without. We're nearing 70,000 members right now, and we're in desperate need of moderators in my opinion. Especially in the c0r.

+1
yesterday i went to another forum i used to frequent, and felt a little uneasy when i saw they had 11 mods for their "Chill Room"... and way less members than TA has.
i dunno, it hasn't been terrible the last couple of months. i think i've been keeping things under control pretty decently... but it would be nice to have more mods around, considering the amount of stuff that flies under my radar just because i can't be around to mod 24/7.

Yah, and let's face it, you're the only one who mods the c0r. On a board with about 70,000 members and you being the only one modding the most disruptive area of the board, one can only think about how incredibly outnumbered you are

Dude, how many of the 70,000 members are active ? And how many in the COR ? I wouldn't put the figure over 100. Not saying we don't need a new mod, but I guess it's about time we stop debating and let the mods and Swamper figure it out.
