I am so longing for the asian forum here at TA; any chance we are going to have one any time soon?

There are local parties in various asian countries in case if you are not aware some which are ZoukOut and others in Goa.

Would be great if we could have a dedicated forum for the same.

Tis a good idea, The trance scene in Goa is pretty big.

Why do you think an Asian forum is needed though? The UK/Ireland scene is way more active, but look at their board - dead as a dead dodo.
Don't necessarily need to have a separate forum to discuss music, and the party/rave board should be enough for EDM events, but I guess if there is overwhelming demand for it, I would be more than happy.

Wasn't this thing done though a year or so back? People had to vote if they wanted an Asian forum on TA, and seeing that there isn't one as of now, I don't think there was adequate response.
Though things would have changed now, and an update is in order.

Then why are there Anjunabeats parties there all the time if no one there likes trance?

- Zoukout had AVB and Carl Cox here in Singapore on 8'th Dec
- On the new year's eve there will be a couple of more DJ's playing here on the Sentosa Island
- Ferry Corsten will be soon in Delhi/BBay/Bglore - The three most populated Indian territories
- Am sure there will be other psy-trance parties in Goa/Dubai soon

The scene is picking up quite a lot and I suppose this would be the right time to start for sure and have more TA on the board.

As I said, the UK scene is far more active but there is hardly any proper discussion that takes place. Trance gigs aren't the only factor.

But again, if it happens, I'd me more than happy

Right. Not to piss on your fireworks too much but....

1) there's a correct way to get a forum, there's even a suggestions area with details on how it would be done in theory.

2) Asia is so vast. There's so many countries, how would a forum for that work (eg europe has all our seperate subforums)

3) It's not about building something for people to come, it's about building something for the people who're already here

4) Moderation - with so many languages being spoken, it would be hard to moderate, nigh on impossible. I'm already against the israeli sub-forum on the basis that you can't actually tell what's being said, but with the western languages, eg english, french, spanish, dutch & german, it's easy enough to pick up the gist of something.

5) It just wouldn't work. We need less minority groups & more people banding together on the main forums like this one. TA used to be a lot more diverse but now most people only use their subforum because of how things are here.
