What I had in mind was a community of registered reviewers who were the only ones allowed to rate a posted song by means of selected criteria (ie. musical talent, creative flair, production skills, overall rating, etc.)
That way artists would be able to receive a fair and honest review from those who know how to place a proper review, and not be flooded by noobs screaming "it's cool.....it sucks" all the time.
Is it a worthy idea? Or am I way off?

www.discogs.com lets users rate any release... users also can post comments about releases.
ratings are too subjective, especially for these boards. tons of people, TiTs or not, will still be screaming 'omg this song is the r0x00x0x0x0x0rs' or 'tiesto sucks and therefore everything he does sucks too'. i dont think ratings for new releases on TA would be a good idea.
oh and btw.. there are ratings in the track & liveset download sections
