I really like the more realistic approach on the graphics this time, although Kos-Mos is not as hot. Shion on the other hand... I can't wait to play this but it probably won't be until late 2005 when I can, by then it's hard to say if PS2 will still be running strong.

I like the new look - that was my only issue with XenoSaga....the SD characters just doesn't appeal so much with today's graphics. It worked fine with Xenogears back on the PS (that game ownz).

That's like 2 weeks old news by now lol

But still this gme will rule, just like Episode 1. The new realistic look to the characters look great, snd they look grown up now! Atleast MOMO and Jr. do.

Anyone know what Episode Xenogears is? I'm playing that one right now again. Played it back in 1998, but never quite finished it(PSX sparked on me, heh). So I am in the process of going through the game again(on an emulator mind you, not as pretty because of the high res of my monitor, but better then nothing).

Xenogears is Episode 5, and they're supposed to remake it the way they wanted to...not the rushed game Square made them put out (which is STILL in my top 3 RPGs).

If they didn't do Xenogears right the first time it's almost scary to think what it will be like when the do get it right!

But I don't see Episode 5 being released until PS3 or even 4 is released.

japan release in late 2004? that would probably put the american release 9 months later. i still havent played the first one yet, so that gives me plenty of time.

remember when Perfect Works surfaced? remember how you couldnt ever get it, because it was only on ebay for like, 80+ dollars?

i always wanted it, but just never had that kinda money.

was looking around last night and noticed that you can get it for only **49** DOLLARS (thats free shipping too) on amazon.com

its still not in english, they must have imported some of them.. but damn. cheap, and i finally get Perfect Works!!! im excited.

My friend payed the full $80 for that book. It's a very nice book with lots of nice sketches but I can't read a single thing in it. Is the one for $40 hardback? Because he's going to be pissed if it is

Xenogears is based on the fifth episode of a VI part manga, novel, something (I keep hearing conflicting rpports).

That development team split off from Square, created Monolith, and it was purchased by Namco. Oddly enough, the director of Xenogears was not completely happy with Xenogears (did you know it was the first game Square started developing for the original PlayStation? It just took forever to complete) and decided to work on a whole series from scratch with much more of a sci-fi theme. Thus we have Xenosaga. He has stated that when they get to Episode V, it will be nothing like Xenogears and I actually believe it won't even have the same characters. There will be some symbolic similarities, of course, so the theme of the people is very much the same.
