Passiva:

Galen Behr, better known as Passiva,
was born on the 19th of September 1986 in Rotterdam , The Netherlands.
At the age of 10 he started to play the violin, and learnt the basics of music.
A year later he stopped and started listening to electronic dance music
and in a short while after he was producing.
His first serious track, named 'Glamorize', gained support from Marc West & Jon O'Bir,
but the track never got signed.
A few months later Galen made a radio remix of Ferry Corsten's legendary 'Indigo'.
He sent it to the Tsunami label for fun without realizing it would be released.
Galen immediately got a request from the label to make an extended version.
The result; Ferry Corsten - 'Indigo' (Passiva Remix)
has been hammered by Graham Gold (UK) in the kickin' cut of his radio show
and has also received airplay in The Netherlands on Radio 538.
His original release 'Glamorize' has now been reworked into
a massive trancer under the new title 'Clouds Like Heaven',
released on Captured Music in March 2004
with an uplifting Faraway Project Remix on the flip.
The track got massive support by the likes of
Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, The Thrillseekers, Lange, Above & Beyond,
Ronski Speed, DJ Danjo & Rob Styles, Paul van Dyk, Phynn, Mesh, Shane 54,
Mind One, DJ Precision, Sonicvibe and many more.
It got voted Future Favourite in Armin's radio show 'A State of Trance'
in episode 139 and it's featured on some compilations like
Trance The Ultimate Collection and A Trip Into Trance 3, mixed by Lange!
Apart from that, Galen has remixed a few tracks,
which include a remix for Envio's latest track 'Time To Say Goodbye',
released on A State Of Trance.
It got massive support in Armin van Buuren's show
and it also appeared on his latest mixalbum A State Of Trance 2004.
His remix from 'St John vs Locust - Mind Circles' got massive support
by Johan Gielen and Mike Shiver.
A new remix for Uplifto Recordings has been finished.
The result, Bobina ' Russian Dream (Passiva Remix),
an uplifting trancer which is now featured on Bobina's artist album!
Latest works include a track called 'Serenity'
and a collaboration with a new talented producer called Airpole.
Serenity is scheduled to be released in summer 2004 on Selective Recordings,
a new label based in the US Watch out for a remix by Filo & Peri!
Elevation:
A relative newcomer to the dance music scene,
Elevation has seen rapid success through his musical production talents.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, in the United States,
Elevation's interest in music was visible from the start.
He began learning to play the piano and the organ at a very young age
and continued with them for several years.
Over time, his musical tastes broadened and changed,
and in his teens he became intrigued by Turntablism and scratching,
which then led him to purchase his first pair of turntables in the winter of 2001.
Soon, through his use of those turntables and his contact with the culture
that accompanied them, his focus shifted towards electronic dance music.
As time passed, Elevation began experimenting with various music production software,
while further developing his mixing skills.
Ever more dedicated to his art form each day, he began upgrading his equipment
and devoted most of his spare time to mixing and producing.
Inspired by his favorites, Armin van Buuren and DJ Tiësto,
Elevation's production skills truly began to soar in August of 2002,
while using the infamous bedroom production software, Fruity Loops.
During the course of the following year, he produced countless tracks,
many of which became favorites among friends and others with whom he shared his work.
Shortly after May of 2003, Elevation upgraded his producing software,
rendering him able to unleash the full potential of his talent.
Elevation's breakthrough arrived when he submitted a project of his,
then entitled Clear Blue Sky, to well-known DJ and producer, Markus Schulz.
Schulz, having a keen ear for talent, quickly began work on the track with Elevation,
who soon became Schulz's protege.
After working together for a few short weeks,
Schulz and Elevation produced the masterpiece of progressive-trance, Clear Blue.
Released on Armada Music imprint Electronic Elements,
Clear Blue has seen success worldwide with some of the biggest names in trance today.
Now at only 17, Elevation has reached heights he never foresaw.
Currently, Elevation is busy juggling time between his
intense production schedule and his education.
He is working on several projects with Markus Schulz,
and continues to compose new productions of his own.
Keep an eye and an ear out for more!
