Is PVD Serious!?

I have stayed away from the forums for a while due to the fact that I frustrate myself when I read peoples opinions that I strongly disagree with, but I had to say someting....I see every tracklisting I can find, from the up and coming, to the masters. PVD sets ususally set the tone in the trance world. His track selections, programming and mixing are, in my opinion beautiful! This set here just supports that idea. Being a die hard PVD fan, I have heard him live countless times, so going through a tracklisting and knowing many of the tracks he played, I can envision and hear it in my head. This set on paper blows away anything out there right now. I care not of rediculous popularity polls and what not. Everyone has their own feelings and tastes, so I am not attempting to change the minds of those who are not PVD entusiasts. This messge is for those who agree with my words. There is a reason why many of us are drawn to this music...Paul Van Dyk supports that reason! I am eagerly awaiting his return to New York and giving us a show at the Roxy that will blow minds away. This tour is a celebration for his hard work (PVD DVD) and fantastic music he has been giving us for YEARS past and years to come!

I just do it exactly the way I enjoy listening to it. This is most of the time it is with banging beats. It is even with a soft thing, a soft melodic idea, or whatever. I still like to have it rocking. Keep in mind what this music is made for, first of all. Its not made to be easy listening on the radio. Its not made to be easy listening in television. Its actually kick ass in the club. This is what music is. This is the purpose of this art form...to listen to it and let the frequencies actually blow you away. --Paul Van Dyk

Wow this set looks HUGE!! I think I'm downloading it at the moment, but it must be incomplete since it's only 49 MB. I rarely listen to trance anymore, but I make exceptions for PvD due to the reasons D-Scott has pointed out so nicely

Not strange that PvD's sets are amongst my all-time favourites I guess This guy knows how to produce excellent dancemusic.

Edit: Damn it's Paul_van_Dyk_-_Live_on_lost_heaven_-_23_January_2003.mp3

Good stuff anyway

Gatecrasher sets are never broadcasted and therefore never ripped except very rarely on a local Sheffield Uni Station in which everyone in Sheffield seems to miss.
