Yeah, I know, the flow is janked. I basically said so in my original post!
It's not a mix that's meant to take serious when it comes to programming.. As I said in my original post as well, I like every track a whole lot and thought what the hell, I'll upload it. A large part of the reason why it goes in different directions other than be just not being able to really decide where to go with it is that it was largely made up of tracks I just recently picked up (though not all just released) and I was trying to focus on playing those back so I could get as familiar with them as possible while mixing harmnically as possible..why I went from the Umek track to the Darren Tate track...both were ones I just picked up (though the DT track has been out for months)....never would go between those two in a serious mix, hehe.
Lesson I have learned here? Don't upload a mix just for fun!! hehehe
Anyhow, I shoulda been a bit more specific and mentioned that I was mainly looking for feedback with the mixing and harmony more than anything...
Which leads me to my question: When you say it's a bit slow, do you mean the length of the transitions or the BPM? Actually play most of the tracks at a higher BPM than they were produced at. Think only one track is slower. I'll chuckle if it's because of the transition lengths. I have actually been trying to slow them down a bit after a few people said they thought my transitions were too fast (usually the faster/more powerful the mix is going, the faster I do transitions to keep the energy up). Maybe I'm taking what you said the wrong way...just lemme know. I'm all ears. I want to learn, get better, etc. I have a ways to go and am not blind to the fact.
Thanks for your feedback. Honest and direct. Not fluffy fluff like some people do on here.
