Tonight was a night for mingling indeed... Mike, Nitmar, and Victor tore it up for sure! I was sooo looking forward to Armen's set...but was pretty dissapointed with his top 40 style... Along with his Rock 80's remixes..I guess I was esxpecting funky, chunky, groovy tunes... oh well...it was great hanging out with everyone!!! Seen a few people I haven't talked to..or seen in awhile..It was nice...and for those who left the TA hole in the group...You were missed!!
Good job everyone upstairs! FOR SURE THAT WAS THE BEST ROOM TO BE IN ALLLLLLLL NITE!!

Why go to a megaclub like Spundae if you're just gonna stay in the tiny loft all night

So Armand played weird? Or are people confusing weird with his signature style...

And what about this tag-team business...THOMAAAASSSS!!! I know you dropped some SVD man

I did my share of walking around..dancing in all 3 rooms...
As for Armand..well I don't know if he was playing his signature sound or not..since never seeing him live.. but.. I think he was playing a little too mainstream for me.. Not to say I wasn't shaking my ass off to some of his tracks..and others I was like WTF...

I wasnt there so I cant say...but it seems as if he played what his style is. And if Thomas and Ksky did a tagteam then the backroom must have been insane...Thomas had some bombs on CDR...I know he was saving them for Spundae

i already started a review thread lol but here is my copy and pasted review:

woowwwww, that definitely was one of the most enjoyable house sets ive ever listened to! EVERY track was just great, not one track recieved a frown. so much energy was going through the crowd!
it was so very fun partying with all of you TA's!

props to Kristina and Fei Fei who were holding down a packed backroom, looks like you ladies were rocking out! good stuff!

big high five to Bob M. and GIL LA for putting it down in the PENTHOUSE PARTY numero dos! listening to you guys drop your sick tracks was a pleasant way to wrap up the night!

ps. too bad we didnt hear 'spin spin sugar' woody, perhaps Armand can play it when he spins Club Element in 2010

i had a good time...

mike lord - you probably played the best set of the night bro... some very cool tech house and bouncey electro

nitmer & ghosh - i spent my entire night with you guys, and i must say i was happy to do so. it was great seeing you and that bootleg of the drill had everyone going nuts. Ghosh... Heavens Scent... WOW

thomas - saw you play some cool tracks, had a tough time getting into it w/ the cracked out crew jumpin all on me. i will say when i walked in there was 2 people on the dance floor and when i came back an hour later there was probably 200. so you were doing something right

bob & gil - nice to see you guys again it's been too long. played some really cool trance

Armand - def. played a grip of 80's covers but the sound in the mainroom was dangerously low. i was having full conversations right next to the speakers. we left because when the basslines hit i felt like i was listening to laptop speakers(and their freakin EAW's). he played a lot of tracks i knew but my fav. was Philippe B vs Toddy Terry - Can you feel it?(Club mix)

all & all, michelle, kris, svgmethod, hotdog(dude, tell me your real name next time... 'yeah i'm on TA, i'm hotdogwater'), jenna, carrie(sorry for the short intro, nice to meet you though), woody, phillippe, talla, and anyone else i forgot!

AFTER THOUGHTS!

OMG!!!!!!! Last night was such an amazing night! It has to be one of the best nights I've experienced at Spundae yet! Sooooooo gooood, soooooo packed....sooooo amazing.

So around 12am, I saw Armand, I chatted with him and asked him if he would play Funk Phenomena and Professional Widow. He smiled and said SURE!!!! And to my surprise, 10 min before his set was over, he looked at me and threw in PROFESSIONAL WIDOW and FUNK PHENOMENA back to back!!!!! HHHHHEEEEELLLLL YEEEEEEAAAAAA!!!!!!

Armand opened up early, because Demi was running late NNNNNIIIICCCCEEEEEE... He finally got in the mix at 12:15. His intro was wicked, but his first song could've been better. By this time, he's on his 3rd track, and I'm just beginning to get a grip of his set. Then all of the sudden he kicked it up a notch and the wicked bass lines, funky groove, and tribal drums kick in!!! From there on, the rest of the night is history! ARMAND IS THE HOUSE GOD!!!!!!!!

The energy was simply explicit. Crowd kept screaming, kept jumping, and kept singing along. Wait, that my drunken ass singing! lol... I haven't been glued to a DJ set like this in a long time!

There was a lot of old school faces there. Many people came out of their dark caves just to see AVH!!! I ran into DJ LENNY V, and other old school clubbers from the mid 1990's. One guy even had Armand's GET ON THE DONKEY record!!! I took my FUNK PHENOMENA, and PROFESSIONAL WIDOW records to get signed, and he did!!! Wooooohooooo... :-D

Tracks I remember.
FUNK PHENOMENA
PROFESSIONAL WIDOW
7 Nation Army
Smells Like Teen Spirit
Highway to Hell
MY MY MY
INTO YOUR EYES

AWESOME TIMES!!! Glad to see so many familiar faces there last night! You are all great!

- Woody
