so regular = $30 and Vip = $50

So let me get this straight...

Guest A buys regular ticket and
Guest B buys VIP ticket

Both arrive at same time, but Guest B gets in faster because of VIP

Then upon arriving
Guest B can buy a Grey Goose cocktail and pay $2
Guest A can buy very same cocktail and pay ~$10

after how many drinks are you better off getting VIP?

Let x=number of drinks, a simple 2 step linear equation
Cost of night= (cost per drink)(number of drinks) + ticket

2x + 50 = 10x + 30
-2x -2x

50 = 8x +30
-30 -30
_____________
20= 8x

8 8

x=2.5 drinks. So bottom line, if you're planning on more than 2 premium drinks, get the VIP.
