Hi, I'm visiting LA the weekend of December 11th and was wondering what's goin on that weekend...any ideas?

Friday night there is an old school techno party at Nucleus Events Center in Downtown LA with LA Legends DJ Trance, Fester, Oscar Da Grouch, Barry Weaver, and Ron D Core. I would check that out.

DJ Trance was one of my favorite DJs growing up in the rave scene. Fester's sets with Oscure on the 2 X 4 were also a huge inspiration. Barry Weaver is probably one of my favorite DJs right now.

Wish I could be there for that one! Sounds like some actual vinyl might be used that night :-) Tell Oscure I say what's up. DJ Trance? Don't you mean Jason Bl....oops....won't reveal true his identity ;-)

Yeah I've often wondered why there's a fixed SF thread at the top of this forum, but no LA one? Mods?

Because no one sits down and invests the time in making one.

That's why.

If someone made one that ws thorough and kept it up, then it'd be stickied.

There was one called "West Ocean Events" that listed stuff for SoCal for awhile, but the guy stopped caring about that a few years ago.

I started the SF Parties thread and Rich took it over a few years backs and made it a lot better and somehow hasn't lost interest in it and that's spanwed into www.sfedm.com

For sure, I will tell him hello. DJ Trance aka Jason Blakemore... ahhh yeahhh!!!

I spun with Jason last year @ Magic Wednesdays in Laguna Beach. I even brought Cache down to spin with me back to back. It was a fun night. I raided the kitchen that night and became known as the pasta burglar!!!
