need help to find a sound system in bay area

my friend just bought a house and he is throwing a party to break it in. but he needs a sound system for the party and i was hoping some of you TAs might be able to help me with this. he posted this on another board. the dj stadenco that he mentions is a good friend of mine from new york and also a really talented musician.

quote:

Lower Bottom Builders (3 boys from Vermont) are looking for a DJ(s) and a sound system for a party in West Oakland (2 blocks from Bart, plenty of parking) on Friday October 15 to celebrate our first West Oakland project.

We've just bought an old victorian and before we begin renovations we're going to TEAR THE ROOF OF THE MOTHER. 3,500 square feet on two floors of raw space is primed for the party. Help us make this a night to remember with your Deep House, Tribal House, Jungle and Breaks best.

Want more? Special Guest STADENCO from NYC is flying in to grace the decks (check out his latest free mixes @ http://www.stadenco.com/beats.html). Read Bill Patrick's (ARC NYC resident) review from the WMC2004 of his favorite party at the conference featuring Stadenco and stable mates.

Not a DJ but got dancing shoes and looking for a work out? Send me your email for inclusion on the Evite for party details.

Reply to the board or email me - [email protected] (remove the extra vowel before emailing and save it for the party.

Oddly, someone asked the same question on the spundae boards...a couple of the responses:

I have heard of JK sounds quite a bit in the past and the person who asked the question got setup with them...

That's too much sound for a house party... In all honesty, for a break-in party all you need is 2 JBL Eons Speakers, Turntables and mixer.... I own my own sound system company here in LA and that sound Dave mentions is really good, but too much sound and power for a house party. It will get raided quick because it's too loud....You really dont need a club system in a house.

This is a pict of one of my sound systems. I use this one mainly for house parties or "2nd" small rooms.... hehehe That's 2 small JBL EON Speakers, turntables, mixer and needles. With these speakers you dont need amplifiers because they're built in. It's a small enough system to fit on my Honda Civic. And, it's usually around $200-$250 to rent for one night. Not to mention it's pretty loud too!
