Seemed like they were having some issues with Dubfire's Traktor at one point though and he switched over to CDJ's. It seemed to cut out from time to time and you could tell he was getting frustrated. Other than that, sick night IMO.

I don't know if this is the Funktion 1 but the sound was coming from the silver speakers to the left and right of the DJ and was indeed very crisp. I didn't hear any sound coming from the black speakers over the DJ.
Very good turnout for a Wednesday. Outside area got full early and inside before midnight. M/W ratio was so so.

Fun night, those skips with the laptop were getting annoying.

traktor skips and fidgets ALL THE TIME, it is an amazing program but i have never switched over from serato for exactly that reason. native instruments is notorious for making great sounding programs that are relatively unstable.
serato never crashes or fidgets like that, though it doesn't sound as good and is definitely a less cool program.
i think when you are headlining dj, crowds trust you enough to blame the laptop, but you don't always have that luxury as a local dj.
