Merry Christmas, TAs.
I'm a heathen (non-believer), so I prefer Winter Solstice celebrations, but when in Rome do as the Romans.
I'm enjoying my tamales today. |
Kudos for this, I wish more Americans were like you. But the pussification of America is spreading like wildfire and people seem to be offended.
Merry Xmas, Happy Holidays, Season Greetings, etc etc. But it's Merry CHRISTmas, it has been since the beginning and it should stay like that until the end.
I just don't understand why more people can't just think that way, from taking away to "in god we trust" to trying to edit the Pledge of Allegiance,I mean really?

Not gonna start that can of worms here.
The people who we tend to call Founding Fathers were Deists not Protestant Christians, not Atheists, not Catholics, not Jews, not Fundamentalist Christians, Deists. Not gonna say anything further about this in this thread.
I was speaking of being respectful of culture in the sense of being a part of cultural norms for holidays unless you have a reason not to (I can think of plenty that people have).
I visited Temples and Shrines while I lived in Japan but that does not mean that I had to pay respect to the Japanese emperor.
Merry Christmas, Giftmas, or Saturnalia, the point is just to enjoy the day with Family and Friends during the coldest part of the year.
