GRAND OPENING... The Yost in Santa Ana w/Doc Martin TONIGHT.
Tonight's the grand opening of The Yost in Santa Ana. They're having Doc Martin tonight and it looks like they're trying to make it into the OC version of Avalon. The venue is very nice. It's an old theater.

DJ Heather is also playing with him.
They have Infected Mushroom (LIVE) on Oct 8.
And DJ Dan on Sept 23.

Hell yeah! It's literally down the street from my house! haha They've been remodeling Downtown Santa Ana and making it more artist friendly. There's a lot of bars there now. This is the first EDM Club though. I think they're gonna open a gay edm club down the street from there pretty soon. I saw an ad on the paper saying they're hiring 50 people.

lol there's several OC crowds, and I know the one you're referring to. That's the "South County" crowd, the big $penders, bottle service, fake boobies, Jersey Shore crowd. The Santa Ana crowd is more laidback, more underground. So hopefully it won't be bad. lol I'll let you know tomorrow.

Important announcement on tonight's event with Doc Martin & Dj Heather
Due to circumstances beyond our control the Focus event tonight with Doc Martin & Dj Heather has been moved to a new venue 3 blocks away from the Yost.
The capacity is limited so early arrival is strongly suggested to guarantee entrance. We will still be honoring the $10 before 11 / $20 after price. The main thing that has changed is that this event is now 21 & over (due to the venue's restrictions).
Tickets will still be sold at the Yost box office and you will receive your ticket / map to the venue there.
On a positive side this venue is awesome and has a really good vibe to it. All DJs are confirmed and we'll be there early making sure that the sound system is on point.
The Yost will be working hard to make sure everything is ready for our event there Friday September 2nd so mark your calendars.
We recommend parking in the structure or around the streets off 3rd and sycamore (west of the Yost theater)

They've been pushing people to get to Santa Ana City Hall to show support for it. I haven't followed it much, but they've had problems getting the permits to go through.
It's good as OC has a dearth of places (now that everything in Laguna Beach is gone).
