It depends on how you encode your mp3. If your encoder allows you to record any sound directly to mp3, just play the CD and let the computer record it into an mp3 file. But, if you need to create a wave file first, here's what I do. I use one of those wave editors and create a huge wave file long enough so the whole set will be recorded. Then, I play the set and record it. Later on, I encode it to mp3. As simple as that.
Do not create try to unite different wave files: when you decode from wave to mp3, every intermission will have a brief annoying pause and it'll take ages for you to delete all of them
