I just simple cannot make up my mind. For the first night of DEMF there are really only two shows that peak my interest: The Min2Max tour with Richie Hawtin, Magda, and Troy Pierce (+others) at the Masonic Temple or James Holden and Luke Fair @ Bleu. Holden is spinning a two hour set that night at DEMF which will likely be better than his show at Bleu anyways. He's also been one of my favorites for years and I've seen him 3 times already. I've also really been diggin Luke Fair's sets recently, and I've only seen him once, which I don't really remember at all. Richie Hawtin, on the other hand, I've never seen. I really dug his Transitions CD and since he's playing in Detroit during DEMF, it will probably be one of the best shows on the tour. I really can't decide, but I'd say at the moment I'm leaning toward Hawtin. So what would you do???

Holden comes around about once every 2-3 months... Hawtin once/twice a year... you decide.

James Hawtin, hands down.

I've seen all of em. I liked Luke Fair the best. Holden has good nights and great nights, so if you hit him on a great night with Luke Fair, hot damn.

If i can rally enough manpower, i'll be at hawtin... plus the holden/fair show will end at 2:30 latest... mix2max goes til 6 unfortunately i think everyone at my place of shelter will be going to the fair/holden show. Rarrrr

I think the Toronto kids that are with me are Hawtin bound so you are more than welcome to come with our group - and the DCS group, too.

I love ya, Quadlow, and I want to see you spin but Hawtin in the D @ DEMF is something I have yet to see - haven't seen Hawtin at a private venue yet.

understandable. both parties will be dope no matter what. hawtin is closing out the festival on monday as well so both holden and hawtin are playing the festival. i was planning on going to hawtin after holden but i wont get done at bleu until 4:00 so i doubt im going to be able to make it.
