I am visiting chicago for a few days this coming week (sun-tue), and am wondering what are the best places to see dance music in chicago during the week (or milwaukee, if applicable- ill be in Racine, WI). I prefer trance, but anything that isnt breakbeats/jungle is great. I've never been within 1000 miles of chicago, so any recommendations of good stuff for visitors to do after 7pm would be absolutely awesome. Right now all googling has led me to is excalibur...does it deliver?

no, i would not recommend excaliber to you...if you are around on a weekend, i would recommend any of the local acts in this thread of course, but beyond them, general clubs I would reccommend include Spybar, Smartbar, Soundbar, and there are probably others I am forgetting. Just looking around this forum page for the area you should be able to pick up a good sense of what is going on. Especailly if you look at the Chicago events thread at the top of this forum, there is a list there on page 1 listing almost every big electronic act in the area from at least the next month or so. I think I didnt really give you good advice above, lol. I imagine I was slightly wasted. Anyway, I don't see any trance shows in Chicago over the next 3 days. :< I think Markus will get closest on Saturday. You could go to the Baltic house, I hear they have Ligaya on repeat 24/7 over there, just a rumour.
