I love it how you quote one text in Matthew and I doubt you even read the Bible or believe in Christianity. Now if you read other parts of the Bible, it says that Homosexuality is a sin and God hates sin and that murder is wrong (which is why Christians are against Abortion but when a fetus is declared living, is a legal question and has been hotly debated over the last 10 years). How are Christians hypocrites? because they don't solve their own problems before telling others about their own? I think most people of any religion are guilty of that, it is so easy to cast judgement on others. God says he will judge us on our actions and our own motives.

I find it comical that people in this world cannot take the fact that Christians believe in something that goes against the common mainstream view. The Bible does not say hate gays or treat them differently, it says that homosexuality is a sin, it says that we also have to treat others like we want to be treated. So we are not hating gays, we are just saying we don't approve of gay marriages or the gay lifestyle because we follow the Bible as our guide. The mainstream loves to say, if it feels good then do it and that normally gets you into trouble.

Now about non-Christians, why are you lumping them in with Christians? They obviously don't believe in what true Christians believe in, so I don't think they count in this argument. Your argument seems to center on the fact that Christians are hypocrites because they actually voted for a politician with a backbone. If you hate Bush, that's fine, if you like him, that's fine but remember America has a huge Christian % and they want a president that will protect their beliefs. If you believe Bush is Christian, that's another matter and another story.

I seem to get the sense that you are confused because you state in the title that Christians are hypocrites and you say that we hate gay people, which is wrong, if a Christian hates another, the Bible says he should go to that person and apologize (well the word used is confess). Then in the second paragraph, you talk about non-Christian and the passage in Matthew where Jesus Christ is preaching the sermon on the mound. So I seem to sense that you are hating Christians and non Christians, which one is it? and if you are hating Christians, should'nt you take that verse to heart?

hypocrisy is part of human nature, so basically we're ALL guilty of that.. does it still make you feel better if you continue to sit there and point fingers/accuse/beat the bible, etc, even if you're faced with that fact???

I know homosexuality is a sin and gay marriage is a sin and abortion is a sin, but god gave everybody the choice to decide what they wanna do, peoples know what is wrong and what is right. My point is, god told people not to judge other becouse he will judge those people who comit those sins. There is only one person who can judge us and its god.

You forget one of the primary tenets of Christian fundamentalism - proselytization. They feel it is absolutely essential to convert and "save" as many souls as possible from the pits of eternal damnation. You think that this somehow excludes their principle wedge belief that homosexual behavior is deviant and a sin?

Im a christian and I go to church every sunday and such. Im against abortion, Im against gay marriage and so on, but Im I the one to judge others for that?!?!.. Is the government the one to get involved and judge?!?!... or is GOD the one to judge?!?!. One will be punished for their own actions, and what better judge the GOD himself, he will know the exact reasons of the why, while the GOVERNMENT of the US does not. They will just plan a law, and prejudice Gay's, and Woman over this issue. IT will not make it better, but make it worst.

It is true that the practice of been Homosexual is a Sin, but it is also true that many of this people are borned with this, and WE are no body to judge them, nor their actions. God will surely know what to do on this matter, not the US judge.

Other thing to mention. How can christians support a president that went into war?!?!?!.. The basis of religion is to keep the peace in the best structural manner.. the Bible brings predictions, but we are no body to MAKE those predictions come true, they will come by themselves. Many Christians ( Id say the very close minded ) tend to believe that all this invasion into the middle east is a way to bring Christianity into the middle east.. more like, a pathway into it. I do not believe in this at all. Overall, I think that christians themselves are been divided over this issue.
