Wow, this is a step backwards if it's true.
South Africa was one of the first countries, along with Brazil, to give up nuclear ambitions.
I wonder who they are worried about invading? Are the nukes ment to hit thier own people?
It really seems like 15 year olds are going to grow up in a world where nuclear weapons are prolific and expected of major global participants.
What is a really scary line of thinking is: Which organization is going to be the first to get a nuke? It's only a matter of time before non-state actors feel it is to thier best advantage to have an arsenal, ... just to protect thier interests. (many already have armed 'secutity' branches for things like mines in the congo)

This was already a well known fact during the 1980s that SA-Israel had well established nuclear material and conventional arms trades despite the sanctions going on, why is it just news now to the western world?
