You're quite good in mixing.
I'd like to see more old skool trance mixes from you, not only house. |
Thanks, my next mix will be trance for sure! Will have decide which era, either 1988-1995, or 1996-2001, or 2001-2005. Probably the middle one! Yeah, apart from beautiful house music (like this mix), trance music of 1988-2005 is my favourite genre. All subgenres of trance!

will you do a 1999-2000 trance mix? |
You probably have all the tracks already though I'll do one for my next mix.

the track selection is flawless |
Thanks - I will surprise you with an 80s garage house mix some time ... the genre that gave birth to house music! It all started in New York, then came Chicago

great mix!
this is among the deepest of the italian deep house, and i really liked it. basically all long, smooth, drawn out, pad-heavy, bassy instrumentals. in that regard it was mixed very well, but i almost felt as a whole it ends up tending towards 'muzak', you know, so smooth and even keel, all the tracks are very similar, and all that vibraphone
i think i would have enjoyed it more if there was a little more unpredictability or variety in the selection.
The sound quality was really great for these records, which in my experience can be quite shoddy.
i have several of the MBG tracks and love that minimal vision (i like vertigo better though!)
thanks as always for sharing! |
Heheh ... well, the problem with this mix is that finally after 4 long years of organizing my neverending music collection, I have it organized in such detail that I can pinpoint specific melodies easily, either for gigs, mixes, personal listening, or converting to my iPod for travel listening. So in this mix I did exactly what you said - but never say that it all sounds the same, thats what stupid EDM haters say I'll try to make my next mix in the same style as my Canadian House Mix from 3 years ago on this forum.
I have entire Vibraphone discography on vinyl/MP3 - if you guys want MP3's of any of these or other tracks, I have most of these (but not all, yet) in digital form, either rips or downloads from my good buddies in Europe ... and yeah, I have some records that had so much crackle and pop that I was forced to omit couple brilliant tracks from this mix. And hunting it down in MP3 is very hard.
I used to love MBG to death, I have some records and my cherished original CD, "Best of MBG" with some nice mixes, but I overplayed it to death on my iPod. So I can't listen to most of that stuff anymore. Italian deep house is very rare, I have countless amount of italian piano house from 1988-1993, but these deep golden nuggets are very special.
Anyways, I have more italian deep house, so perhaps another mix much later on will come as I first want to cover more genres and such
Glad you guys liked this music ... keep it old-school, 1975-2005, especially the 90's! Golden era ... there's so much more of the classics out there to discover, so much great music!
