Comments on the mixing/track selection would be greatly appreciated. The only problems I've noticed that are worth correcting are in 2->3, 3->4 (beats slightly misaligned, can tell with headphones), and God's Love is mixed in at too low volume (one of my cartridges records with less sensitivity than the other).

dude, i dont know what you're talking about but im at the third mix and if those are what you call problems, you're way ahead of the game.

*edit as i go* wicked mix into fancy fair. that's the kind of mix where i would probably get the levels wrong....

alright im getting to the end, nice track selection, i didnt care for the tayce though, or the silverblue, wont hold it against you.

actually the only point i would have brought up, is the volume levels going into junk project, it gets louder a lil' i think, but seamless mixing all round. pro job.

That Fiji party fizzed out unfortunately and we didn't get to do our thing, otherwise I'd have promoted it here for ya'll to check out. I'm going to be spinning at the 7 Alexander on Wednesday night, either the 2nd or 3rd Weds of November. I'll be sure to keep all of you guys posted as I'll be dropping a similar set to what's on this mix.

Heheh as for the mixing, when doing a demo I try to be as flawless as possible. I ask myself "Is this mix good enough for Paul van Dyk?" =P

Also, my friends and I are trying to setup a Trance night somewhere in this city. Right now we're in search of a venue that would be willing to host our night. My friend DJs 2 nights at the Kits pub doing top40 stuff, and we may try to convince them to let us throw a trance night. Can you imagine that, a trance night at the Kits? =P

Edit: Oh and to answer your question, I've been DJ'ing for a little over a year, "mixing" for about 9 months (Kits Pub style DJ'ing doesn't require mixing. I started on CD crap, and realized that I liked it enough to make a serious stab at real DJ'ing, so I got tables in the summer.

DJ Sean your mix is pretty good. I didn't notice a problem between 2->3 but I did notice 3->4. You were off by less than half a second. I really wouldn't worry about it, I have heard people who DJ for years and still do that once in a while.

Another update, I'm going to be spinning Tuesday night at Tribeca, this is a restaurant at 536 Seymour downtown. It's all ages and has really good food, and obviously good DJs, heeh. I'll be on at 10 or so. On Wednesday I'll be DJ'ing at the 7 Alexander as well, probably a 90 minute set at around 11pm.
