Ahhh... it's been a while since I got a "negative/retarded" comment on this forum... thanks Adam420!

just calling it like it is I didn't intend for any negativity towards you or what you do
and I think it's been a while since you got any comment, period.

Jbutter is 41 fucking years old. fucking hell. aren't you too professional for this section though? you have a professional flyer drawn out, some upcoming gigs, and a celebrity whoring site called twitter. I have none of that.

@Adam420 - I think I know what genre I play, a lot better than "you" know what genre I play... and again, thanks for "another" negative/retarded comment.
@Mattinsanity - You're probably right with the "too professional for this section" comment...

indeed I did. you are too established for this section. give others a chance to promote themselves, such as this poor 22 year old south korean chump. the tracks are decent and club friendly, but I don't think they're progressive house.

In fairness, you don't really play progressive house either, Adam.

So progressive house pretty much wouldn't describe anything made today, according to you, Jack? Yes it's not the classic progressive sound but it's a hell of a lot closer to having anything to do with it than what this guy is playing, ffs.

Your stuff is certainly a lot better than what he plays, but I think the only reason you're getting pedantic on him is because you don't want to be associated with this stuff. I'm struggling to see why most of the stuff you play is any closer to the source than this nonsense.
Well for one I'd say that it's definitely inspired by it a great degree. But I'm really curious if you could point me to some modern day progressive house, if you think there is any. And not 128 bpm progressive trance.

Well I've been saying for years that we need a new term, because "progressive house" is now totally unhelpful. It is attached to so much music and has so little to do with the context or the sound of the original style. What inspiration are you talking about?
EDIT: To answer your question, the only stuff I can think of recently that really qualifies would be some stuff by the Desert Dwellers, their combination of dubby bass, tribal percussion and cyber-hippy vibes being quite close to the classic progressive sound. It does seem oxymoronic to say something is "progressive house" for sounding 15-20 years old, though.
