Jake J - It's Like Deja vu All Over Again

This little mix here is the end result of two weeks worth of recording, re-recording, re-re-recording, etc. What started as a short Ambient/Dub Techno mix quickly turned into a three hour amalgamation of various types of dance music. After playing around with the tracklist in various forms, I finally trimmed off a little over an hours worth of tracks. It's by no means meant to be perfect, moreso a representation of what would happen if you put a pair of decks in front of me and said "go". No post-mix mastering or anything, just a pretty good example of what I'd pull out of my ass on the fly.

I'm going to hold off on throwing up a tracklist just yet, I'd kind of like to see the reactions from people going in without expectations. Hopefully you'll enjoy it. Many thanks to Stu for hosting.

Mhm this was nice. I recognized a few of the songs from when you played live, though I notice you cut out the ambient intro.

Did you end up using the song that you said your friend played when the sun was coming up? Couldn't remember specifically which one that was.

All in all, I really loved it. Will definitely be listening to it for a while

Can't wait to see the track list. There were a few tracks I really enjoyed that I might pick up when I have the time / money.

Good work

Thanks guys. It's reassuring hearing that, because the more I listen to it, the more reasons I find to cringe.

See above. I'm actually going to try and put out one mix a month. Shorter than this mix, though.
